Help make this exciting local food project happen! Help the site at Cecil Avenue allotment site become a thriving urban permaculture centre for local food, environmental-education and horticultural therapy.

Get outdoors, meet people and add to your CV with tasks such as planting, harvesting, watering and ground clearing. We have polytunnels, a compost toilet and future plans include a community garden area, a large edible forest garden, starter plots and a nature area.

Please contact us prior to arriving.

Corporate Volunteering

We offer the opportunity for companies to carry out practical conservation work in local environmental areas. This will support their corporate responsibility aspirations. These activities can also contribute to team building sessions in a community setting. This is in addition to the opportunity for individuals to join the conservation volunteer group on a weekly basis. Please visit the BEES website for more information about the projects and places we work at.

The Cathedral Centre runs a well-established and successful practical conservation programme which offers unique learning opportunities for a diverse range of people including those with special needs.
