WYOG AGM Your chance to hear what we have done during the last year and to help us decide on future activities for the coming year. Also a chance to get involved if you want to. We have a very informal committee structure which only meets when needed to plan an event.
Talk by Patrick Holden (Soil Association) at Bingley Arts Centre.
The current industrialised, globalised model of our food systems is deeply unsustainable. Against a background of climate change, resource depletion, population growth and urbanisation we urgently need to develop new models of food production and distribution systems which will ensure reliable access to sustainably produced staple foods.
Patrick Holden will discuss the key elements of such a food plan and how we can become directly involved in creating more secure and sustainable food systems.'
Venue: Saltaire Farmers Market 9 - 3 (in Caroline St. car park near station)
