After School Clubs

Activities Out of School Hours

Groundwork, in partnership with the Children’s University of Bradford, delivers environmental based activities for children and young people to attend after school and during school holidays. These entertaining and interactive sessions provide, amongst other things, the opportunity for children and young people to enjoy and achieve through learning, be healthy and find out how to make a positive contribution to society. Sessions or programmes can be tailored by negotiation with the host organisation and the funder.

After School Groups

BEES have run after school clubs at various primary schools for many years. Topics have covered a variety of environmental themes but tend to focus on wildlife and nature. Examples of projects include bird identification, making bird feeders and nestboxes and taking part in the RSPB big garden birdwatch; wildflower growing and identification; vegetable growing; making recycled paper; seasonal art and crafts. Activities complement the national curriculum.
