Royds is a social enterprise based in south Bradford, which facilitates regeneration and renewal to deliver sustainable communities both locally and nationally. The Community and Environment Programme advises and supports community environmental groups and projects. Currently, it also manages the Warden element of the Environmental Task Force.

Projects

Positive Youth Action Scheme

The Positive Youth Action Scheme works on five estates in south Bradford to help encourage young peoples positive behaviour and also to improve young peoples image and role in their communities. This has been achieved by undertaking activities for their communities; clean ups and tree planting.

Royds Environmental Programme

This programme supports a number of existing community environmental groups in the south Bradford area, including The Friends of Judy Woods and Buttershaw Millennium Green Trust. It is also able to help set up, advice and support new groups or projects across the district.

Royds Environmental Warden Scheme

This scheme is based in eight areas across the Bradford district and employs 14 wardens to help communities take more pride in their environments by addressing environmental and neighbourhood issues; for example, fly tipping and litter. The scheme is also setting up a Junior Environmental Warden Scheme, which will work in schools in the eight areas.
