Keighley Furniture Project

KFP Contact Details

Recycling and reusing bulky household waste.

People on benefit come along, choose their own furniture and household items. Our larger premises will enable us to accommodate extra items and work with the council to achieve their recycling targets. House clearances can also be accommodated.

We also have a community café and a woodwork shop. The project is run on an environmental theme and has installed a wood burning boiler to heat the mill cheaply and is planning to fit solar panels to the roof.

Household items/furniture collection

We collect donated household items in the Keighley/Skipton area to pass on to people on very low incomes. We are particularly interested in Cookers, Washing Machines and Fridges as we have just been granted funding to start a white goods re-use workshop.

Life skills training

This project is keen to encourage people of all ages to get involved and develop important life skills. Training is offered in catering, DIY, decorating and electrical skills. The courses are all funded and are available to anyone over 14.
